Today marked the conclusion of a three-day training delivered to peace committees across the project locations, focused on trauma healing.
The training, led by a psychologist, was highly interactive and participatory. Through practical role-play scenarios reflecting both trauma survivors and those supporting recovery, participants were able to clearly understand the concepts and build the confidence to apply them in real community settings.
Representing Galkayo, Bursaalax, Galdogob, Towfiiq, Bali Busle, Xarfo, and Sheerbi, the trained committees will now play a critical role within their communities. They will extend this knowledge to social workers, health workers, community members, and other peace committees, while also providing direct support to individuals affected by trauma.
